New Zealand studio Creative Space Architectural Design has recently completed a 2,580 square foot contemporary Show Home for the Calley Building builder. The project is located in Lakes, a subdivision of Tauranga in New Zealand and is said to be an example that innovative design does not have to have a high cost. Built around a central green courtyard, the residence is flooded with natural light all day. A cantilevered roof provides shade and protects against the weather. The interiors are spacious, modern and welcoming. The open-plan living room acts as the core of the house and displays an arrangement of minimalist furniture. A modern fireplace heats the atmosphere. All rooms communicate with the green patio in the center through sliding doors. Do you find this approach to architecture interesting or too invasive?
